Eight persons are allowed each tracking party, and a park ranger and a park guide lead each group. Depending on the ease and speed with which the gorillas can be located, tracking can take one to six hours. You will only have an hour with a gorilla family after you have located them, so make the most of it and remember to take lots of pictures without using your camera’s flash. Drive back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, then head back to the base to pick up your gorilla trekking certificate after your trip.
