5 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.

You will be greeted by our knowledgeable driver guide upon landing at Entebbe International Airport or having breakfast at your Kampala resort. They will provide you with an overview of your five-day Uganda Wildlife Safari. After that, it would take you six to seven hours by car to reach Murchison Falls National Park. The Kampala – Bombo – Nakasongola – Masindi roadway will be used. You’ll be treated to breathtaking views of never-ending, rolling hills that give you the impression that you are approaching the horizon. You will track the rhinos during your layover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in the Nakasongola area. The incredible tales of how the rhinoceros was in danger of going extinct prior to the sanctuary’s founding will captivate you.

After that, you will have your second stoppage at any hotel in Masindi town while you take a short break from driving the safari vehicle. After lunch, you’ll head straight on and arrive at Murchison Falls National Park. Arrive at the lodge you reserved in advance for a night of rest, food, and relaxation.

Accommodation: Paraa Safari Lodge, Pakuba Safari Lodge, Sambiya River Lodge.

Meals: (Lunch, Dinner).

Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise.

You will meet your driver-guide and go on an incredible morning wildlife drive in Murchison Falls National Park after breakfast at around 6:00 a.m. We started this activity early so that you might view the night hunters before they retreated to their hiding spots and stop the park’s early risers. The wildlife, flora, and birdlife of Murchison Falls National Park is diverse. You get the opportunity to observe all four of the great creatures in this park: the lion, leopard, buffalo, and elephant. In addition, a variety of other species can be seen, including hyenas, waterbucks, warthogs, giraffes, Uganda kobs, bushbucks, hartebeests, and oribis. You will return to your lodge in the late morning and unwind there while you wait for lunch. Reading a magazine or taking a dip in the lodge’s pool are two ways to unwind.

You will have an afternoon boat ride on the world’s longest river, the River Nile, following lunch at the lodge. You will learn about aquatic life on the boat, including crocodiles, hippopotamuses, and a variety of water birds. It will also lead you to the base of the world’s strongest waterfall, Murchison Falls. You will walk to the top of the falls from the bottom, where you will meet other tourists and a park guide. You may take in the breathtaking sights and the sound of the falling water as it thunders through the gorge at the top of the falls. When on a safari in Uganda, this is one of the greatest safari experiences that any traveler could hope for.

Accommodation: Paraa Safari Lodge, Pakuba Safari Lodge, Sambiya River Lodge.

Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Check out, meet your driver and head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park after finishing breakfast at the lodge. With three-quarters of the world’s gorilla population, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in western Uganda, is the primary gorilla attraction. Along the way, there will be a lunch break and breathtaking views of, among other things, rolling hills, plantations, lush greenery, and mountainous landscapes. You will check into the lodge you reserved in advance for relaxation, dinner and a sleepover after you arrive at the park.

Accommodation: Buhoma Lodge, Mahogany Springs, Silverback Lodge.

Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking Experience – Batwa Community Tour.

At roughly 6:00 am, begin the day with a healthy breakfast. Then, meet your driver and proceed to the park headquarters to begin your gorilla trekking experience. Trekking takes two to eight hours, so you’ll need to bring a lunchbox and a water bottle. A thirty-minute briefing before the exercise. The maximum number of trekkers per gorilla family is eight, thus that’s how you are divided into groups. The walk starts at 8:00 a.m. You’ll follow the gorillas’ footprints, which include poop and urine. Seeing them will rely on how quickly your group walks and where they stayed the night before. When you first see the gorillas, you will have a whole hour to be with them and take pictures (please do not use a flash light camera). Make an effort to abide by the guidelines for gorilla trekking. You will come across numerous different animal, plant, and bird species while trekking. One of the world’s secretive species, woodland buffaloes, may descend on you on a good day.

Head back to the lodge for a late lunch or to unwind. You have the opportunity to go on the optional, extra-cost Batwa Community walk in the evening, which will introduce you to the Batwa people’s way of life. You will take pleasure in their customs of building fires, dancing and producing beer from the area. Return to your lodge for dinner and the night in the evening.

Accommodation: Buhoma Lodge, Mahogany Springs, Silverback Lodge.

Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 5: Return to Kampala – Departure.

After breakfast in the resort, you will drive to either Entebbe International Airport or Kampala. There are two stops along the way: one at the Uganda Equator and one at the Igongo Cultural Centre. Discover the legends surrounding the Ankole kingdom and take in the breathtaking views from the Eclipse monument at the Igongo Cultural Centre. You will conduct a water balancing experiment and cross across the two hemispheres of the globe simultaneously at the Uganda Equator, which is located in the Mpigi area, near to Kampala. For your departure, your driver-guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport or at the Kampala hotel of your choosing.
