Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, meet your driver/guide for the safari at your lodging. After that, take the well-known Luwero Triangle and Masindi Town to the northwest, where you will find Murchison Falls National Park. While your route to track rhinos on foot, stop by the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Proceed to the top of the falls after lunch to see the full magnificence of the Nile. Admire the Nile as it falls 40 meters with a tremendous crash and narrows from 50 meters to squeeze through a 6-meter gorge.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Ride.

After breakfast, you will head out for an early morning game drive in search of the big five; elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and other park animals. After lunch, head back to the resort and have a boat ride towards the base of Murchison Falls in the afternoon. Since it gives you a chance to interact closely with the creatures, many people consider this boat ride along the Nile to be the highlight of their trip to Murchison.

After this incredible cruise, head back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. You will witness more wildlife along the banks of the river on this boat, including hippos, buffaloes, elephants, and many bird species. If you’re lucky, you might even spot the uncommon shoe bill.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.

After an early breakfast, travel through the vast Western Rift Valley’s Albertine Escarpment to the southwest. Travel via Hoima to get to Fort Portal, the vibrant and stunning town that serves as the capital of the Toro kingdom. Fort Portal is located in the shadow of the renowned Rwenzori “Mountains of the Moon.” Have lunch on the way, then dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale – Transfer Queen Elizabeth National Park.

After breakfast, proceed to the Kibale Forest National Park to enjoy chimpanzee trekking. During the hike, you may see more primates, birds, and butterflies in the surrounding forest. After your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, you can have lunch and, if you get there in time, go on an evening photographic game drive to see more types of wildlife.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura Gorge – Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise.

You are scheduled to go for the Kyambura Gorge chimpanzee trekking at 8:00 a.m. this morning. In the heart of savanna grassland, expect to encounter a variety of primates, most notably different species of chimpanzees, black and white Columbus monkeys, and other creatures including antelopes, hyenas, lions, and many more. Numerous bird species can be found living in this ravine.

After lunch and some downtime, you will head back to the lodge for an afternoon boat ride on the Kazinga Channel. You will be able to see wildlife up close as a result: buffalo loiter in the shallows, and hippopotamuses snort and spray just feet from the boat. Many different species of birds can be found along the channel’s banks, such as saddle-billed storks, pied and malachite kingfishers, and pink-backed pelicans. We took our time returning to the lodge by car after this fantastic afternoon.

Day 6: Morning Game Drive – Transfer to the Ishasha Sector.

Have a cup of coffee in the morning, hop in a safari vehicle, and go on a dawn game drive to search for additional animals, including buffaloes, lions, leopards, and elephants. Travel to the southern Ishasha area in search of more wildlife, such as topi and oribi, and tree-climbing lions.

Accommodation: Ishasha Wilderness Camp, Njojo Safari Lodge.

Day 7: Game Drive in Ishasha – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

After breakfast, go on an early morning game drive in the Ishasha Southern Sector in search of further wildlife, such as lions, topi, oribi, elephants, and buffaloes. After lunch, make your way to Bwindi Forest National Park, where you can go on a gorilla walk.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.

After having a cup of coffee in the morning, get ready for the Ugandan wildlife officials’ briefing, and then head into the woods to look for the reticent mountain gorillas and experience their way of life in their natural habitat. Once you’ve had a meeting with the gorillas, you can spend an hour staring into their large, wide eyes. A reasonable level of fitness, walking shoes, packed food and mineral water, insect repellent, sun protection, and a hut are all need for a gorilla safari.

It can take a half or full day to monitor gorillas, depending on how these animals move. You will have a life filled with remarkable and educational experiences after this one. Journey to Lake Bunyonyi, offering a picturesque vista of rolling hills and charmingly spaced islands.

Day 9: Return to Entebbe – Departure.

After breakfast, get into our safari car and drive to Kampala, stopping for lunch at the Agip Motel. Along the way, we’ll stop near the equator to take pictures and pick up some snacks for the evening. Proceed to the international airport in Entebbe to catch your journey home.
