This 14 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari starts with pickup in Entebbe and takes you to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in the well-known Murchison Falls National Park. From there, you visit Fort Portal for a tour of the crater lakes and the Tooro Palace, the top of the world, and tea plantations. Next, you go chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park. Finally, you take a safari around Queen Elizabeth National Park, stopping for a Kazinga Boat Cruise, lion tracking, and neighbourhood tour. Along with gorilla trekking in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and a Batwa Community package, this package also includes an equator stop on the way back and a leisurely free day on Lake Victoria’s shores.

14 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari

Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Arrival – Entebbe Airport.

When you arrive at Entebbe International Airport, your guide will meet you and greet you before starting your safari in Uganda. For check-in, a driver will take you to your hotel in Entebbe. This marks the start of the 14 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari.

Accommodation: Kampala Serena Hotel, Kampala Sheraton Hotel, Hotel Africana.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.

Breakfast will be served to you at your Entebbe hotel before you check out in preparation for your trip to Murchison Falls National Park. You will stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola so that you can undertake rhino tracking. You will follow the park rangers for an on-foot rhino tracking excursion at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary following a briefing. You will get up close and personal with the rhinos during this excursion, and you will get to take pictures of them in their own environment. Following this adventure, you will pause for lunch in Masindi, and then your guide will take you to the national park’s Murchison Falls to see the falls up close. After that, you’ll proceed to your lodge to check in and get ready for supper and the night.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise.

You will get up early for an early morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. During the drive, you will look for animals like lions, giraffes, elephants, leopards, buffalos, warthogs, impalas, waterbucks, and many more. Once your early game drive is over, you’ll head back to the lodge for some refreshments. You will take a two to three hour boat ride to the base of the falls in the afternoon. A variety of bird species as well as fauna including elephants, hippos, buffalos, crocodiles, and giraffes can be seen along the water’s edge throughout the boat ride. Along with seeing the stunning Murchison Falls from your boat, you will later have dinner and spend the night at the lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Fort Portal.

You will check out and get ready for your trip from Murchison Falls National Park to Fort Portal Town after eating breakfast at the resort. As you leave the park, you will encounter a variety of wildlife species in the savannah plains of Murchison Park, including elephants, waterbucks, giraffes, impalas, and topi. Before travelling on to Fort Portal, where you can unwind at the lodge and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay, you will make a stop for lunch in Hoima town.

Day 5: Crater Lakes Tour – Visit Tooro Palace

A delicious breakfast will be provided at your Fort Portal hotel before you embark on an exciting day of activities that include a visit to the well-known crater lakes. Among the several crater lakes that your guide will show you are Lake Nyabikere, Lake Nkuruba, Lake Nyamirima, and Lake Kasenda. In order to see some of the craters and take in the breath-taking views, you will need to walk a short distance.

You can also explore the Tooro people’s culture by going to the Tooro palace after the crater tour. You will learn about the pet names, or empaako, used in Tooro, such as amooti, abooki, akiiki, abwooli, adyeeri, apuuli, araali, and acaali, among others, while a local guide shows you around the palace grounds throughout this encounter. You will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay following your tour of the palace.

Day 6: Tea Plantation Tour, Top of the World Experience – Transfer To Kibale Forest National Park

You will have a tour of Fort Portal Town’s picturesque tea estates following breakfast at the resort. You will discover and take part in the various stages of tea cultivation until it is ready for consumption during the tea plantation tour, which includes hand-picking the tea and packing it into baskets. Also, a cup of the regional tea will be tasted. In addition to enjoying lunch, you will go to the top of the globe and see the various sights surrounding Fort Portal, such as the tea plantations, crater lakes, and much more. Following this encounter, you will be driven by your guide to the lodge in Kibale National Park where you will spend the night and have dinner.

Day 7: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale – Bigodi Tour.

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will go to Kanyanchu, the park headquarters, for an orientation on chimpanzee trekking. The rangers will brief you and split you up into groups so you can start looking for the chimpanzees in Kibale Forest. Along with a variety of bird and butterfly species, you may come across other primates, like baboons and black and white colobus monkeys, while searching for the chimpanzees. The various types of trees that can be found in the forest will also be covered.

When you locate the chimpanzees in Kibale Forest, you will enjoy spending an hour with them while you take pictures, record videos, and watch them interact. You will return to the park offices to pick up your certificates after finishing the activity. During your visit to Kibale National Park, you will also partake in the bigodi tour, which is a guided nature walk that allows you to discover the stunning bigodi wetlands and its rich biodiversity. Bigodi is a great place to go bird watching as well. During your tour, you’ll witness a variety of bird species as well as other primates like blue, vervet, black, and white colobus, red-tailed, olive, and hoest monkeys. You will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay following this excursion.

Day 8: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Your guide will drive you to Queen Elizabeth National Park after you have breakfast and check out of the accommodation in Kibale National Park. You’ll get to your lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park just in time for lunch. Following lunch, you will go on a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel, which is where Lake Edward and Lake George converge. You will view a variety of bird species along the water’s edge throughout the boat ride, in addition to fauna including buffalo, elephants, hippos in schools, and Nile crocodiles, among others. Following the boat ride, you’ll be driven to the lodge for a restful evening, dinner, and an overnight stay with a view of Queen Elizabeth National Park’s wide plains.

Day 9: Lion Tracking Experience – Visit Local Community.

As you get ready for your lion tracking trip in Queen Elizabeth National Park, the lodge will serve you tea or coffee. This is an off-track adventure in the park where you look for lions in the savannah plains, get up close and personal with them from the protection of the safari vehicle, and watch their behaviour. As you look for the lions, you’ll come across other creatures. The tree-climbing lions are another well-known feature of Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will take part in a visit to the local town to get a sense of the way of life of the people there, see traditional dance performances, and have the option of visiting local schools and art and craft stores after returning to the lodge for lunch. After this adventure, you’ll spend the night and eat back at the lodge.

Day 10: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

You will go on an early morning game drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park in pursuit of wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, impalas and waterbucks. After checking out and enjoying breakfast at the lodge, you will drive on to Bwindi National Park, where you will check into the lodge.

Day 11: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi – Batwa Cultural Tour.

After an early breakfast at the resort, your guide will take you to the park headquarters so you may get briefed on gorilla trekking. Following the briefing, rangers will be assigned to your eight-person groups. After entering the Bwindi impenetrable forest, you will travel many trails in search of gorillas, spending an hour with them once you have located them. Return to the park offices to pick up your certificates after viewing the gorillas. Your guide will then transport you to the lodge after you participate in an optional Batwa Cultural Tour, during which you will meet locals, learn more about their way of life, and witness and participate in traditional dances.

Day 12: Transfer to Entebbe

After breakfast at the lodge, you will check out and depart for Kampala. You will travel through beautiful rural scenery and stop near the equator to snap pictures and have the opportunity to shop for travel mementos. Additionally, you will stop for lunch in Mbarara. After lunch, you will travel to the Kaazi Beach Resort to unwind by the Lake Victoria shoreline.

Day 13: Full Day in Entebbe.

You can choose from a variety of hotel activities, such as taking a boat ride on Lake Victoria, and spend the entire day relaxing at the hotel.

Day 14: Departure.

The tour will come to a conclusion when you are driven to Entebbe airport for your flight, following a cup of tea or coffee at the hotel.
