Day 1: Kigali City Tour – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park.

Our tour guide will pick you up and give you an overview of the 2 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari before putting you in a safari land cruiser and taking you on an adventure through the land of a thousand hills. As you drive through Kigali, you’ll stop at the national museum to learn more about the history, customs, and culture of Rwanda. You can also go to the local markets and purchase items that will be more affordable to carry with you on your journey. After the city tour, you’ll eat lunch on the way and continue on to Volcanoes National Park to do gorilla trekking.

Accommodation: One & Only Gorillas Nest, Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience – Departure.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast early in the morning, proceed to the park headquarters to register and receive an orientation regarding the exciting gorilla trekking experience. You will learn the guidelines and policies controlling the activity during the briefing, and then you will head into the dense rain woods to look for the apes. The journey to find the rare Mountain Gorillas, who are listed as endangered species, could take three to four hours. Once you are up close and personal with the gorillas, you will have an hour to take pictures and videos of them playing and eating. Afterward, you will return to the location where you left your safari guide to be driven to the lodge for lunch before returning to Kigali.
